@bprusa That's way too much work. Trying to figure out something easier. Maybe an occasional 2x6 and plywood or something else on top then insulation on top of that. The big problem is doing all of that over the top of a shop full of tools and benches
Didn't really notice before because it only got cold this week for the first time since spring. Now I have to either block them back off from underneath, or add dampers and fans to help it cool down in the summer.
@bprusa The "business name" machine at work uses 2 routers simultaneously to put a slot in both sides of a chair part at the same time (for our structural bracket). There is no adjustment except for the depth of the two router bits.
Had to do something at work that was totally new to me. Setting up a router bit to a specific length sticking out of the collet. Within 1.5 thousandths. Think about that for a minute and tell me what you think about that......
First day of working a "real job" again. The day started like this, and ended with a sore back. I'm sure the extra pandemic weight will be gone in no time π
Walking around the grocery store, in my mask, also wearing earphones and listening to #shoptalklive #243. The talk is about big framing squares. Yes @ben_strano, 3-4-5 is the way to measure, but man can it be difficult to do accurately
@takecamera2 I literally had to put on warm clothes to be in the shop and it was hot with the doors closed yesterday. It's just because of Tahoe. We get lake effect weather like Buffalo gets lake effect snow.
BTW, if anyone is looking for fucked up, sunbleached "slabs" that look like you found a long abandoned milling operation in the high desert from the 80s , I will forward his info. π€£
Messaged a guy on FB marketplace about a cottonwood "slab". Super split. Obviously just dried outside in the Nevada heat without any finesse. But....it had some gorgeous crotch and compression figure. Cutting it up anyway, so I don't care.
He says.... Oh, I don't have that one
I then explain that he is trying way too hard. That I'm good. Have a good day......... More messages.... More pictures...... And...... Blocked.
Dude really needs to learn how to take no for an answer.
