Hello. So I started this on here last year and in case anyone was wondering how it went. It was a fun year of birdwatching ending on 199 species seen in the UK. 32 of those were new for me.
Was very fun competing with @ElRimmo

In an attempt to monitor population and assess potential decline I am getting to know my local owls in a five mile radius.
So far I have found 7 little owls, 1 Tawny and 3 Barns.

Seriously though if you are a bird novice look up Crossbills. They actually exist. Nature's wacky. It's like something a child would draw.
