Maryland Coach Brenda Frese is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Iowa Coach Lisa Bluder is from Marion, Iowa, essentially a suburb of Cedar Rapids. That’s a heck of a lot of coaching talent from within a small area. The state of Iowa totally punches above its weight that way.
