Labour has quietly dropped the ban preventing illegal migrants, including those arriving by small boat, from eventually gaining British citizenship.
Let that sink in.

After a legal challenge citing human rights laws and refugee treaties, the government has performed a staggering U-turn that could allow thousands who entered Britain illegally to one day secure a British passport.

Under the new rules, migrants who win asylum may now be able to gain citizenship if they claim their illegal entry was “outside their control.”
And this major policy reversal was slipped out by the Home Office as nothing more than a “minor change.”
Minor change? This is anything but minor.

What message does this send to the world? Break the rules, enter Britain illegally, and citizenship may still be waiting for you down the line.
What about the millions who respect our borders, follow the legal immigration process, and play by the rules?

British citizenship should be earned through lawful contribution, respect for our country, and respect for our laws not handed out after illegal entry.
Secure borders are not cruel.

Enforcing the law is not extreme.
A country that cannot control who enters it is a country surrendering its sovereignty.

Today, we were told that the 15-year-old boy who killed our beautiful 9-year-old niece, Aria, with a single stab wound to the chest is NOT GUILTY of murder or manslaughter.

How is this justice?

What message does this send to society? What does it teach people when a child can lose her life in such a horrific and senseless way, yet nobody is held accountable?

The UK is facing an epidemic of knife crime, and cases like this only leave families wondering what consequences truly exist. Something has to change.

Aria was only 9 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her. She should be making memories, laughing with her family, growing up and chasing her dreams. Instead, we’ll try live every day with a pain that will never leave us.

Our family has effectively been handed a life sentence. We will carry this grief, heartbreak, and loss for the rest of our lives.

Meanwhile, the person responsible walks free.
