I think we often miss just how profound it is that Jesus in Matthew 5:11 declares the point of His preaching and the reason for believers persecution to be Himself. Jesus was Christ centered in His preaching when Christ centered preaching wasn't cool.

This verse in Acts refutes baptismal regeneration! They bear witness that they've received the Holy Spirit (born again) therefore they should be baptized.
