You searched the skies for a spark to find,
not knowing it lived in your own mind.
One day you’ll remember what you’ve always known:
the power you seek was never gone.
It only grew quiet, waiting to be seen,
beneath the doubt, beneath the dream.

Whether you are in a good place or bad, alone or with friends and family, we at Grimfrost would like to wish you a God Jul, Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas with this short video.
Hail Odin, One-Eyed Lone Wanderer, Raven-Lord, Rune Master and King of Asgard!
On this Wednesday we are inspired by the night you walked the long black path to the Well beneath Yggdrasil’s root, alone, hooded, spear in hand. You asked Mimir for a drink of wisdom and he named the price, your eye. Without hesitation you plucked it free and dropped it into the water, trading sight for true vision, physical comfort for ultimate truth.
You taught us that real seeing often costs the thing we cling to most, and that the deepest knowledge is not given but paid for in blood and sacrifice. May we find the courage today to give up what blinds us, to stare into the dark until it stares back, and to keep walking the hidden road even when no one walks with us.
Hail the All-Father, Hail Odin!
This is well said.
Regardless of your flavor of faith or expression of it, if you aren't experiencing the divine, taking true action, "larping" in earnest, and engaging with raw life, you aren't accomplishing anything.
I am all about online teaching, lore, and knowledge, but it must be met with true practice and action.
This doesn't mean being a monk renunciate or moving to the wilderness to homestead in a hut per se (though wilderness living can be beneficial), but in the more Shugendou / Sadhu and Middle Path way of seeing the world and modernity for what it is and embracing the authentic rawness of life. Expressing your faith daily and truly.
Too many people are hung up on nit wanting to be called a larper, or not doing anything until it is perfectly reconstructed in accordance with lore and history, or making sure their actions are purely of only one cultural influence.
Meanwhile, others are experiencing the divine, the blood of their ancestors, and spirits within the elements all around them all the time.
People talk about surfing the Kali Yuga. Sure, whitepilling and coasting are good. But addition you should take advantage of it. Be it in a third world country, trailer park, dystopian pre cyberpunk future, or the beauty of the wild, you should express and embrace your faith and heritage here now now and in the most raw and unapologetic way you are able.
