Universal Health Workers, Kenya have announced another wave of protests starting 9th June 2026.

The health workers are demanding:

- fast tracking the development and implementation of a framework for the transition of all healthcare workers currently engaged under UHC as deliberated during the intergovernmental summit held on the 10th of December 2025
- that the Ministry of Health to make payments of gratuities to all UHC staff in accordance with the Gazette notice No 8091 dated 12th October 2020.
