There’s a strain of stan culture that deserves clinical study. Around the time this was tweeted, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) police had banned women from wearing miniskirts and revealing tops, claiming they “provoked” rape and were responsible for sexual assault.

All you need to do is tap on the #Swazirules hashtag to see that this was a social media campaign/outcry criticising the absurdity of the law. But people are legit doing “You mocked our favourite pedo so now I’m going to put my brain on hibernation and tear you to shreds.”
