Working with @moorsforfuture to take heather brash and spread it over the bare peat found across the moors in Holme Valley. This will protect the peat from frost over the winter and will germinate and grow over the next growing season 😍

The hugely interesting part of my work is to see the damage that invasive plants can do. This is Japanese knotweed breaking through a church wall requires urgent treatment to protect the stability of the structure. We'll help how we can!

I've been watching them do it and felt awful every time I've gone past. It's been blocked off for as long as I can remember and had so much vegetation in there, it's a wonder there weren't any protected species in it

It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.
