Tinubu’s Reforms: This is the first time in a long time that our economy is growing faster than the population — Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II

The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has commended the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, particularly measures implemented by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stabilise the economy.

Sanusi, a former CBN governor, said the country had moved away from the brink of economic collapse following efforts to address excessive money supply and exchange-rate instability.

Speaking on the economic situation, the Emir said he had “nothing but positive words for what the Central Bank has done.”

According to him, the country was coming from “very high levels of instability as a result of loose money and uncontrolled growth in money supply,” but the CBN had spent the past year taking measures to mop up excess liquidity.

He acknowledged that interest rates remain high but said the reforms had helped stabilise the naira and improve the country’s economic outlook.
“Interest rates are high, yes, but we have stabilized the exchange rate. We have pulled back from the brink of total economic collapse,” Sanusi said.

On inflation, the former apex bank governor noted that the rate remained high but was gradually declining.
“Inflation is coming down, it’s still at 20%, still very high, but it’s coming down from the very high levels of a few, of a few, of a few years ago.”

Sanusi also highlighted the country’s growing foreign reserves, saying, “We have built up reserves to over 40 billion dollars.”

He further pointed to recent economic growth, noting that the economy expanded by more than 3% in the first quarter and more than 4% in the second quarter.

“The economy has grown, first quarter by more than 3%, second quarter by more than 4%, and this is the first time in a long time that this economy has been growing faster than the population,” he said.

Just how it is.
NELFUND is not meant for everybody. It is basically for people that can't afford to pay and live through school fees and pressure.
People with poor background and no helper.

I literally fund myself through university it wasn't easy. I graduated with second class lower but I am glad I did because I had to balance work and school.
There are moment during those era that I have exam to write by 2pm. Guess what!
By 1pm I am just rinsing my hands and legs at site to quickly go and sit for exam and be done with it.

I spent most of my night before bed reading after working throughout the day.

When I finally graduated I was proud of myself because I promised myself the bare minimum I should do in terms of education was to get first Degree which I was able to achieve.
If NELFUND was around then I wouldn't think twice before I apply for it.

Yes, I haven't been able to get the ideal work I want with the degree and that's because I am not exactly looking to get one. Rather I am looking to start one myself and at least create an avenue of growth 📈, chance of employment for others within and outside my environment and create wealth for myself. I don't want to be a sheep in the game.

I started freelance and trying to make a living with my skills set. Yes the competition is there but we are doing what we can.

I have a well laid down numerous business plan only capital to kickstart it hasn't been accomplished.

The dream and motive is there and alive but life pressure is real too and not leaving your neck hahaha.

Over and all, a very shout-out to President @officialABAT for this initiative. It will make so many people to he able to achieve their dream.
