Author of nine action-adventure/thriller novels. Yaps endlessly about movies and such whether anybody's listening in or not. Tweets in Finnish and English.
@VhsAbyss It would've deserved a much bigger release. It's not perfect, but a damn sight better than 99% of the action crap we get these days. If you haven't seen it, see it. Gary Daniels is The Man and the greatest action hero you've never heard of. Sadly.
@MarshallRTeague My deepest condolences to you, Marshall. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of loss this is for you, but at the same time I'm sure that your friendship was a once-in-a-lifetime bond. Sending you love and strength as you grieve. Chuck’s spirit, and memory will never die.
Reading comments on #ImChevyChaseAndYoureNot, I doubt if we saw the same film. Yes, Chevy could be a nightmare to work with. But depression, abuse, addiction & brutal critics matter. His own worst enemy yet a loving husband & father. Fan since the ’80s; this deepened my respect.
F*cking Tarantino. Though I haven’t liked his films since Jackie Brown, I've respected his knowledge of cinema. But now he’s this increasingly irrelevant, out of touch creep whose cringy opinions cause embarrassment. I doubt his "final masterpiece" will change my view in any way.
@thamosdeaf Has there ever been a more derivative writer-director than Tarantino? He who has not only admitted, but bragged about stealing from other film makers.
@JawsomeBrody I’m happy for you that you got it! Also the gorgeous cover art really pops on a vinyl record sleeve. These kids today with their music streaming services don't know what they're missing. The physical media rules, also in music. (The End of the Old Man Rant)
@strangeharbors It might''ve killed if: no Marky Wahlbergy, way shorter, no cutesy humor or tiresome banter, no JarJar Binks or Stan or who ever that driver was, actually adapting Westlake's story, a LOT grittier - look and storywise. A shitshow this was. Thomas Jane would've been better Parker.
It*s safe to say that The Outfit from 1973 is the best Parker-movie so far. This new #PlayDirty -thing doesn't hold a goddamn candle: Wahlberg is woefully miscast in the lead and the whole sh*t show is a half-assed mess of tired silliness.
