Our paper on GABABRs is out https://t.co/gMvVrDO4sN
In this paper, we model both pre- and postsynaptic actions of GABABR activation in a biochemically detailed manner - check it out :)
Our paper "Genetic mechanisms for impaired synaptic plasticity in schizophrenia revealed by computational modeling" is now published in pnas: https://t.co/aik93Uvw9x :)

A small introductory video was made about our Computational Neuroscience research group in Tampere University (in Finnish only, sorry!)
Our paper on the role of Ih channels and their neuromodulation in L5PCs is out: https://t.co/MtutmodbCx
We've however only scratched the surface of computational modelling of neuromodulation of pyramidal cells, looking forward to working on this topic more in the future :)
New preprint!! We found: 1) two schizophrenia gene sets with pre- versus postnatal cortical expression, 2) these sets associate with distinct neurodevelopmental processes, and 3) set-specific polygenic scores interact to predict diagnosis. Read more: https://t.co/vI5FM2drSV
My ex-colleague Alessio wrote a fascinating article on fitting neuron models based on using MEA data in addition to patch-clamp data. IMO this is an important step toward making spatially more realistic neuron models, a dream we had in https://t.co/5aWwnl9jEZ by means of VSD.
#tweeprint time!
We are excited finally share the results of a fun and productive collaboration between @bel_ethz and @BlueBrainPjt!
We explored the combination of patch clamp and high-density MEA to build detailed multicompartment models. Here's what we found 👇

New paper out in @schizjournal linking ScZ-associated genetic variants to changes in 40Hz ASSR power in schizophrenia using biophysically detailed models with @TuomoMM@gili_karni Hana McMahon-Cole and @steuber_volker https://t.co/ysswPTGUpb
In my past modelling studies I've always had to use guesswork when someone asked me whether the Ih has excitatory or inhibitory role on neuron activity. Here, in this paper I wrote with Verónica, we study the question in layer V pyramidal cells in detail for many types of stimuli
