Pleased to welcome my friend and colleague @Bayramov_Jeyhun on his first visit to Ukraine.

Our discussions covered key issues on the bilateral and international agenda, including regional security, efforts to achieve a lasting peace, economic and energy cooperation, as well as Azerbaijan’s important contribution to Ukraine’s recovery. 

Today’s meeting marks another important step in further strengthening the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Our dialogue remains active and substantive, driven by regular high-level contacts, practical cooperation, and a shared commitment to expanding our bilateral agenda. 

I thanked Azerbaijan for its humanitarian assistance since the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, particularly in supporting Ukraine’s energy resilience, restoring critical infrastructure, and contributing to reconstruction efforts.

Ukraine highly values Azerbaijan’s consistent support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity and remains equally committed to supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. 

Thank you, dear Jeyhun, for the productive discussions. I am confident that our friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership will continue to grow for the benefit of our countries and peoples.

Through the @MinEnergy_ua Hub, almost 40 tonnes of equipment from Azerbaijan have been delivered to a regional railway branch to help strengthen the work of Ukraine's railway workers and support critical infrastructure.

Almost every day, equipment leaves the Hub for regions across Ukraine. It helps keep both the energy sector and other critical infrastructure operating under the constant threat of Russian attacks.

Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon asked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev several questions during the Shusha Global Media Forum in Baku.

Key statements:

▪️ "Never accept occupation. And that is exactly what Ukraine is doing: it does not accept occupation. Although there have been difficult moments this year. We have heard about pressure from certain circles to end the fighting in a way that would cement the occupation. But neither the Ukrainian people nor Ukraine's leadership agreed to that."

▪️President Aliyev reiterated that Azerbaijan's position remains unchanged: it has always supported, continues to support, and will continue to support Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and the inviolability of its borders.

"The borders of no state can be changed by force or without the consent of the people of that country. Our position is consistent and firm.

And we are always ready to help the Ukrainian people in any way we can. I do not want to say much about this. We’re not doing this just to talk about it. It simply comes from the heart," President Aliyev added.
