💡Yule, midwinter, hibernate solstice - the astronomical first day of Winter. Welcome! And so the horizon ushers the Spring, though it may not feel that way yet🌛 The Latin 'solstice' refers to the 'stoppage' of the Sun. Don't let this time stop you writing, send us your poems☀️

We love the strange marginalia that animate the folia of medieval manuscripts. 👉 take, for instance, the manicule. As early as the 12th century these spindly fingers were etched into manuscripts to annotate and emphasise sections of a text. 🤯
