We must strongly condemned the order passed by the person who is occupying the highest chair of the State.

I am referring to the order reportedly passed by the Chief Minister of Odisha.

My questions to the CM are simple:

Where are the safeguards against false claims and misuse of maintenance provisions?

If money is going to be deducted from a man’s earnings, who will protect him when the claim is false, exaggerated, or deliberately misused?

Will the same system guarantee complete transparency and accountability for every rupee deducted from a man’s salary? Or is a man simply expected to keep paying without being given any meaningful protection or remedy?

Justice cannot mean automatic financial punishment for one side and unquestioned protection for the other.

If the government wants to protect families, it must also protect men from false claims, misuse of laws, and arbitrary financial burdens.

Laws must protect the innocent—not create a system where one gender is treated as an #ATM.

The entire concept of alimony is already debatable. Now the Odisha CM is making it worse by ordering automatic salary cuts for government employees.

Court orders already exist. Turning the state into a direct recovery agent through salary deductions is a dangerous precedent.

Neha Pachisia used to work as an air hostess before she left the aviation industry to begin preparation for public service examinations.

After being selected in the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), she worked in several districts of the state.

Now, Neha Pachisia has found herself in the limelight for a very different reason.

Pachisia, who is investigating a murder case in Katni, is accused of demanding money from the family of Akash Lodhi, who was arrested in April for the murder of a tribal man and later got bail in July. The family said they were pressured to pay Rs 15 lakh in return for help in the case.

According to the complaint, Pachisia and the then station house officer asked for money in exchange for changing statements in court and helping Akash Lodhi get relief in the murder case.

When the family said they could not arrange the money, Pachisia is accused of getting 2.15 hectares of land belonging to Lodhi’s father transferred to another person.

While the guideline value of the property was over Rs 82 lakh, it was sold for only Rs 18.20 lakh to one
Maroof Ahmed Hanafi.

The departmental inquiry revealed that Pachisia allegedly misused her official position and police authority to coerce the transfer of Ramesh Lodhi's land to another individual in violation of rules. 

Based on a complaint from the Bhopal Vigilance Branch and the instructions of the Jabalpur Zone, a case was registered against the CSP and other accused at the Kuthla police station in Katni on charges fraud, coercion, and criminal conspiracy.

A 40-year-old man was allegedly killed by his wife in a knife attack. The woman later jumped from the rooftop and sustained injuries, police said.

The deceased, identified as Rajesh had been living in Kurukshetra with his wife for around a year and worked as a water supplier for a water trading company on Pehowa Road. The landlord told police that Vimla was attempting to put his protruding intestines into a bag when she noticed him and jumped from the roof.

Nihal Vihar Murder: Family Alleges 6 Involved, Police Name 4; Rs 25 Lakh Bribe Allegation

A 31-year-old IT professional, Vinay, was allegedly beaten to death at his home in Delhi’s Nihal Vihar following a dispute with his wife over giving medicine to their child.

According to Vinay’s family, his wife Rekha allegedly left after the argument and returned around 10 minutes later with her two brothers, father, uncle and sister-in-law. The family alleges that six people then assaulted Vinay, strangled him and repeatedly attacked his chest while his parents tried to save him.

Vinay’s family has alleged the murder was pre-planned and claimed CCTV cameras were allegedly switched off.

Police have reportedly arrested four people, including Rekha and her two brothers. However, Vinay’s father alleges that six people were involved and questions why the uncle and another alleged accused were not named.

The deceased’s father has further alleged that police took a Rs 25 lakh bribe from the accused to shield some of those allegedly involved. The allegation has not been independently verified.

The family has demanded a fair investigation and action against all those allegedly involved.
