A few days ago I posted about Shivan. A young woman trying to raise fees for a sound engineering course, who kept messaging me after I had already told her honestly that I could not help her myself.

Then a man I have never met sent me a message last Saturday. He had read Shivan's story and wanted to support her.

He did not just offer money. He is a trained sound engineer and a music producer, so he called ESOM himself, spoke to a teacher there, and worked out that she only needs one module. He is going to pay her fees.

I did not expect that. He read one post and went and did the work himself, without anyone asking him to.

I have never met Shivan. I have never met him either. Two people who are strangers to me and to each other, and now we are all in the same story because somebody chose to be kind.

What is left now is a laptop. You cannot train in sound engineering without one, and it is the only thing still standing between her and that classroom.

So I am asking again. If you can help with a laptop, even a used one that still works properly, reach out.

Years from now I want to be listening to something big and find out she was the one behind the board.
