@baseballhall . @FCR_News Rox Ann at the local library in LG knew about our man, Rube. It does appear he is from LG although some sources do list Calvert as the family must have moved on.

@LonghornMaga @baseballhall I started doing some genealogical research, and the first thing that pops up on Rube is from a news article obituary that he was born in Calvert, Texas. @baseballhall - Other than, Baseball Reference, does anyone else show his birthplace as La Grange, Texas?

The Hall of Famer was born on this date in 1879 in La Grange, Texas.
