These are some of the highlight videos during the SA Automotive Week where students exhibited and went for a ride in the fully electronic and hybrid cars at Kyalami Grand Prix.
Industrial and Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering students had an opportunity of attending the event and got exposed to fully electronic and hybrid cars. Amongst these electronic cars that was present was the Tesla. The fun did not end there as student went on for a ride.
The event was hosted at Kyalami Grand Prix, having multiple automotive and innovative giants under one roof to showcase their futuristic and cutting-edge technology.

The Solar Car team and the Gibela Research incubatee, X Reality Lab, joined the world’s industry giants for an exhibition at SA’s Automotive week from the 25th to the 28th of October.

The TUT Vikings, Varsity Shield rugby team, is hosting a rugby open day on the 5th of November. The event will focus on recruiting new talent for the 2023 season, a tour of sports facilities, meet current and former players and announcement of the new coach.

After 8 days of the thrilling #SasolSolarCarChallenge, testing the reliability and endurance of the solar cars, @TUTsolarteam won 3rd place of the challenge and 1st place in all the South African solar car teams. Congratulations to the team! @Official_TUT

Day 5 was a bit challenging as the Sunchaser 4 @Tutsolarteam ranked no.4 but the team managed to continue with the #SasolSolarChallenge for the day. We are looking forward to today's race as the teams start from Graaff- Reinet and finishing at Jeffreys Bay.
