@UCUNottmCollege@drmattoleary@CollegeComm I understand, they’re both important issues that need attention. FE research reminds people of FE relevance and it’s role in education. However, FE can’t function properly without securely paid staff to work in it. Both conundrums need to be addressed
FUTURE COLLEGE priorities? 1.Locally accountable & representative gov'nce. 2.Collegial professionalism, recog. teachers 'excluded wisdom', kn & exp. 3.FE integrated into local learning systems/civic nets. 4.Ethical leadership & social purpose. 5.Funding, pay. @CollegeComm#ucu
We will be having another #ESOLchat on Monday at 1pm. These have already been really useful and we'll try to get into a bit more detail on what and how you and your students have been doing so far. Here's the @wakelet from last time if you want to catch up https://t.co/I0SldQ8wip

Try not to judge yourself or others and if you find yourself being judgemental, don't judge yourself for judging! Be kind, we'll get through this together 👍
Realising teaching from home is all the parts I like least about teaching. No fun, no banter, no creative lessons, no lessons going off on an interesting tangent, no interaction with young minds. All emails, mark sheets and screens. No wonder I'm bored!
📞 Join our all member telephone call on Mondayat 6pm 📞
Joint general secretaries @cyclingkev and @MaryBoustedNEU will both be on hand to answer your questions

'Was the earth made to preserve a few covetous, proud men to live at ease, and for them to bag and barn up the treasures of the Earth from others, that these may beg or starve in a fruitful land; or was it made to preserve all her children?' Gerrard Winstanley, English radical.
Important thread w @ipryce @drlizatkins @BobHarrisonEdu@bill_esmond others. Will the shift online exacerbate the cost saving mindset or get us thinking about how tech can enhance inclusive T&L? Educorporates + philanthropic chums will be measuring COVID's £$€ possibilities🦈?
Great to see that @SocietyET , @E_T_Foundation's membership body, has made the past year’s editions of #inTuition, its member magazine, available free online. Recommended reading for #FE teachers and researchers
