Shout out to the Pearson Skills for Living 2 students who entertained the Bledsoe Kindergarten classes today with their sock puppets and great stories!!! @FISD_PearsonMS
My daughter had talked for several years about how much she loved her 5th grade teacher.
When I finally asked her what she liked about that teacher, this was her response: “She liked US!”
So simple… yet so profound. Kids gravitate to the teachers that like them.
Lots of blended learning going on in 8th grade right now - for virtual academy science, students had a choice on building or creating a product on either plate tectonics or topographic maps to show what they know!

I got to see an amazing HyperDoc that @MsWithersReads made for GT ILA — it’s great to see the way other content areas create blended learning lessons!! #PatriotStrong#CampusBadges
Today in virtual academy science we did engaging and interactive chemical formulas stations using the station rotation model. Students were placed into breakout rooms which allowed me to join each room for the small group teacher-led station. #CampusBadges#PatriotStrong
Creating interactive elements in an online course is so easily using Nearpod! Students were learning all about chemical formulas today and their submissions gave me instant data on how well they are understanding a concept! #CampusBadges#PatriotStrong
I have attended many amazing band concerts but I never got to see the magic behind how our incredibly talented band director helps grow these young musicians on a DAILY BASIS. Here she is guiding the low brass section. @PearsonBand#PatriotStrong#campusbadges
Back to the basics this morning for staff PD - a great refresher! One active learning strategy I like is “Three Stay - One Stray” which allows students to be an expert on a topic and then share with others. It enables students to be social which is so important! #pearsonlearns
It’s Friday before Thanksgiving break — it’s going to be a great day! Thankful to be all caught up with grades and clearing my to do list (mostly) so I can truly have a break next week! #PearsonGivesThanks
Starting 9th grade was extremely difficult for me due to a dramatic custody change resulting in me moving in with my dad. My German teacher, Frau” Howard helped me in so many ways that year, and I am incredibly grateful for her support and caring heart. #PearsonGivesThanks
I am grateful for my amazing students for coming up with impressive arguments as they investigated the effects of changing mass on motion the ADI way! There were also some creative products by some as an alternative to writing a traditional report! #pearsongivesthanks
I am very thankful for Zach Summers who is an amazing teacher! He contributes greatly to our campus in a variety of ways and is so positive, skilled, and caring! @Z_Summers3#pearsongivesthanks
