@pezz252@Doublebogie98@AP The picture accurately depicts an "offshore wind turbine," which works like any other wind turbine but simply offshore. Underwater windmills are not the topic of this article. Underwater turbines produce energy from the movement of tidal water.
@thatfitguy_carl @KTVB The Euro is a possible alternative reserve currency but due to the nature of the EU, it is unlikely. The reality is people have been predicting the end of U.S. monetary hegemony since the 1950s. It will eventually come, but current signals don't suggest it is in sight.
@thatfitguy_carl @KTVB Neither the ruble nor the yuan is backed by gold. China's banking sector is quite large but not sufficiently transparent enough to be trusted internationally. It's not impossible but would be difficult for the yuan to become a global reserve currency.
@Takingachanc@SaucySaidIt@FoxNews The 12 member banks of the FED are private, but the board of the FED is not. What you probably mean is that the fed is "independent." The FED is supposed to be insulated from political forces but can still be regulated by congress, and the FED chair is appointed by the president.
@Rickythekid23 @Durantfan6 @BossJeeves@WSJ It helps 6,500 people federally charged since 1992. It will also help those charged in D.C. No one is serving time for possession federally but it will help them get jobs, and housing by expunging their record.
@bennyjohnson This makes a lot of sense if representative democracy is about representing land, not constituents. Take the people out of the equation, and your argument is solid as a rock.
@TheRealNewsGeek@RBot0 @nova_papist @Mediaite It sounds like you need to learn the difference between formal and informal fallacies. Additionally, if anything he was committing an appeal to authority fallacy. Regardless, not all arguments that appeal to authority or popularity are necessarily invalid.
@TheRealNewsGeek@RBot0 @nova_papist @Mediaite You do realize that you are committing a formal fallacy? Argument from fallacy, or "the fallacy fallacy," occurs when you disregard everything a person says based on a logical fallacy. The point is, you can't "win by default" just because you spot a fallacy.
@FrankGillilan13 @SawyerMargett @JaniceMcGeachin Lol... that would actually be really helpful. Why don't you use Aristitilian arguments to explain to me how I lost? I would love to hear your take on Aristotle. Also, why is it always Aristotle? For once I would like someone to tell me that I am wrong with Robert Nozick's ghost.
@FrankGillilan13 @SawyerMargett @JaniceMcGeachin If you "aced" Logic class then you should know that you are committing the 'tu quoque' fallacy right now (also known as the appeal to hypocrisy.)
@FrankGillilan13 @SawyerMargett @JaniceMcGeachin Nobody asked you to post misleading memes. You assumed that role all by your little lonesome. Don't like the job anymore? Quit. Or don't. I don't care.
