ADC faction backs Tinubu ahead of 2027, deepening party crisis.
A Nafiu Bala-led group within the ADC has endorsed President Bola Tinubu, with viral footage showing joint APC–ADC campaign posters featuring Tinubu and Rep. Leke Abejide.
The move signals a possible political alignment, but also raises fresh questions about ADC’s leadership dispute. Abejide has not confirmed any formal defection.
With INEC controversies and internal divisions ongoing, the opposition space remains fluid as 2027 draws closer.

Airstrike Tragedy in Borno–Yobe Border
Up to 200 people are feared dead after a Nigerian Air Force airstrike mistakenly hit a crowded weekly market at Jilli, along the Gubio–Geidam axis.
The strike, reportedly targeting insurgents, instead struck civilians gathered for trade. Eyewitnesses describe scenes of devastation, with dozens killed instantly and many more injured.
Initial counts confirmed at least 56 bodies, but local estimates warn the toll could rise significantly as rescue efforts continue.
Victims are being treated at Specialist Hospital Geidam, with severe cases referred to Damaturu.
As of now, authorities have not issued an official statement.
This is a developing story. Updates to follow.

The Governor said data has already been made available to some media houses. But whose job is it to collate data. This is my take
Government Collect & share accurate data.
Media: Analyze & communicate it clearly.
Citizens: Ask questions & demand clarity.
The data exists but if it doesn’t reach people, debates like this are bound to happen.
The journalist didn't do well, he has the right to these data but the media chat with the governor is the wrong place to ask for it and the governor is especially the wrong person to ask. A proper preparation would have warranted coming to the media brief armed with data.
