@Flav_Bateman Millions of people my man, millions. Are you asking what incentives there are to living by the water in FL? It's beautiful and fun and warm and sunny all year.

@Flav_Bateman But yeah, living near the water in FL does come with some very serious risks. The building codes are much more strict than other places but that don't matter if 6 or 10ft of water come thru

@Flav_Bateman Not a stupid question. Mortgages aren't as difficult as homeowners insurance which is nearly impossible. There are many places in FL, especially coastal locations, that insurance companies will not cover. So if you get flooded or worse, you've lost everything.

@Flav_Bateman You evacuate inland if the state orders you out. Hopefully you can find a hotel room (almost none available now) or a shelter to stay in. Then after the storm, you might be able to go back home and pray there are pieces of your life to pick up.
