Russia has released video footage (video 1) intended to prove the destruction of the Gepard 1A2, who's video many have seen in May 2026 (video 2). I'm no geolocator, but the surroundings look right to me, and it's definitely a destroyed vehicle on a Leopard 1 chassis.

First confirmed Gepard SPAAG loss Ukraine suffered since 2022. We don't see it in the second video, but Russia claims a second strike by another drone on the already damaged Gepard tore off its turret and ripped apart its hull. It is claimed that the crew died. While this is possible, it has not been proven.
