@totorology@hellstarnj What about it is mean? Technically everything online is “unnecessary” so I guess but I really don’t see what the problem here is
@cyberdulce I obviously didn’t think this shit would blow up but it’s cropped to block out her username since people here are insane. There’s zero ill will at all from me lol it was just a very funny visual. Her garden is gorgeous
@1hunnid_demons@zackyizded alpha wolf kicked a rapist from their band and dropped a diss against him on the next album. they’re a bit cookie cutter but definitely not cop core what’re you talking about lmao
dear @AOC it’s been 5 years since the last time someone was foolish enough to date me but with your help, we could resurrect Woke Alpha. here is a brief clip of a cool new song im writing with my band
@flip_2_dip@Mandrue A part of me does find the idea of private server bronzeman hilarious because stuff like super combat potions would be 500k a piece lmao
Project Zanaris would have kind of solved this whole controversy around Bronzeman mode (and any future officially supported gamemode).
It was also the perfect solution to fresh start/economy servers IMO.
Never really understood why people hated on it.
@flip_2_dip Official support definitely feels much better than a plugin for sure though, it also allows recognition in the form of Hiscores and such. I think it’s a tough argument from both ends
@flip_2_dip I worry a lot for new players entering a landscape of options they can’t possibly understand. Player freedom is wonderful in general but isn’t it a balancing act between polish and complexity? Especially for a game with as steep a time investment as OSRS
@flip_2_dip@Mandrue I don’t mind this line of thinking for general niche gamemodes at all to be fair. With all the desire for “Hardcore Mains” a huge portion of that is a fresh in game economy. What those people are asking for is literally what Project Zanaris looked to provide
@flip_2_dip I think we look to eventually suffer from “gamemode bloat.” I hated the idea of “unbound bronzeman” because at its core it feels designed primarily for youtubers.
I also think there is beauty in players engineering new ways to play, rather than simply following a template
@flip_2_dip I agree that scrapping project Zanaris is a shame. I think it had real promise to expand the bound of what is possible in the game. I just think it’s moot to bring Bronzeman mode up at all when the entire game mode is predicated on a preexisting in game economy comprised of mains
@flip_2_dip Anything where you can reasonably play with just a plugin should stay a plugin. Anything that requires backend development and has a lot of players should be looked at for being made official (GIM is huge here)
This is grotesque… and potentially lawsuit worthy.. we’ll have the lawyers look into that next week after
