Eyes open. Blurred at first. Footsteps get closer. Closer. Breathing gets heavier, shorter, faster. Body tries to move. Can’t. Blood drips. The footsteps now visible. A face appears and disappears quickly. The feet appear again. One bends back. Suddenly darkness.

There’s something pleasurable about killing flies. I’m not sure if it’s the velocity of the fly swatter or the pure joy of cleaning up the remnants afterwards. Either way, one day I won't feel the same pleasure from a fly. Then I'll need to move onto something bigger. #TwisterLit
