With European Union support, PACE Uganda strengthens community-led solutions in the Acholi Sub-Region, helping adolescent girls stay in school and providing teenager mothers and school drop outs access to alternative education pathways and SRHR services.

The most important meeting of the trip.
Dropped into a primary school in Uganda. The agenda? Singing, dancing, and shaping the future. 🇺🇬 The energy in this room is higher than the midday sun. Helping the next generation is the ultimate privilege.

At the Vision Group head offices, we celebrated some of Uganda's most dedicated and innovative teachers and launched the Teen Vision Magazine.
I commend the board, management, and staff of the Vision Group for their “Teachers Making a Difference” initiative. This initiative, supported by the Irish Embassy and Travelcare, honors exceptional teachers who go above and beyond to ensure effective learning. It not only motivates these teachers to continue their great work but also inspires others to join the teaching profession.
Furthermore, the launch of Teen Vision as a multimedia platform is a significant step in guiding youth to understand their purpose in life and navigate the challenges of society. It focuses on topics such as identity, relationships, and entrepreneurship. I pray that it will specifically instill in our children the fear of God and guide them to live a life that brings true glory to Him.
I want to express my appreciation to all the teachers in Uganda who have participated in this project. Thank you for your service to our nation and for your dedication in nurturing and educating the younger generation!

Today, I am pleased to announce the launch of the Second Education Response Plan (ERP II) for our refugee and host communities here in Uganda. Our vision is to significantly enhance learning outcomes and skills training for children and youth in refugee-hosting areas.
I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support from our partners, including UNHCR, UNICEF, UNESCO, World Bank, Finn Church Aid, and Save the Children. Our first ERP saw remarkable progress, with the Gross Enrolment Ratio of refugees in primary and secondary school rising substantially. As we move forward, ERP II is designed to build on these achievements and address areas that need more focus.
A special thanks to the Governments of Ireland, Japan, and Norway, for aiding us in the continuity of learning during challenging times. I also commend the resilience of our host communities in their steadfast support.
I believe education is a shared responsibility. Parents, let's work together to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our children, and protect them from societal vices. Together, we can ensure equitable access to quality education for all.
December is a great time to take stock of everything you’ve done over the last twelve months—including all of the books you’ve read. I found these books to be really clever and engaging. I hope you them find as intriguing as I did: https://t.co/xKdpvoXbvR
