I personally was kinda meh on this season, but it’s still better than any of the off season spin off, self indulgent projects. To me, Season 1 and Season 3 will forever be transcendent pieces of art, which at times, seems like a borderline futile task to achieve in the modern age. It is true, you really did “have to be there.” I’m not sure Fishtank will ever return, and I’m doubtful that it will ever have the same impact. But I still think about it endlessly. Watching season 1 from my college dorm… filled with a mixture of fear and manic laughter… one of the only times in my life where being on my computer felt worthwhile. It was a microcosm of our realm, archons and ever present forces… whether malignant or positive.. shaping, guiding, and WATCHING the movements of confused participants… It genuinely inspired me to believe that making real art, with modern mediums, is still possible! #gayrant
