On Military Family Appreciation Day, we honour the families who serve behind the scenes and provide unwavering support to our Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members.

As the Member of Parliament for Kitchener-Conestoga, I don’t have to look far to see the impact of military service on families — even within my own staff, where one team member is a proud CAF parent of two serving children. Their experience reflects both the immense pride and the quiet sacrifices that come with military life.

The stories of the unique challenges faced by military spouses and children remind us that service extends far beyond the uniform. It lives in the homes, hearts, and communities of those who uplift and care for our troops every single day.
