Stop saying “trillionaire“ as if @elonmusk can stroll to the bank and withdraw $1,000,000,000,000.
The immense illiteracy around finances in Americans is astounding and retarded.
This ignorance is how politicians prey on you.
@bonchieredstate The "support and belonging" to which The Times refers evidently wasn't supposed to include Bible-believing Christians. I see the irony and I'm a gay man.
The problem with liberals is that they are void of self-awareness. And still and yet, they walk among us.
Somebody has to be the richest person on the planet.
The fact that it’s the guy who popularized electric cars, made rockets reusable, and is working on curing blindness and paraplegia as a side quest seems fair to me.
If you don’t think radical ideology can threaten this country, you weren’t watching the transgender movement.
In barely a decade we went from biology being a settled fact to being told gender identity overrides it, that kids can decide their own sex, and that anyone who hesitated was a bigot. It started as a fringe academic idea. Then it was in the schools, the hospitals, the boardrooms, and the government.
It didn’t take a majority. It took a small, disciplined movement that knew which buttons to push, compassion, victimhood, the fear of being called cruel. And it worked.
That’s the part to sit with. It was never about one issue. It’s proof that a determined movement can rewrite an entire society faster than anyone thinks possible. If it happened once, it can happen again.
Pay attention….
Men act like men because they are men.
Ellen has to censor herself because she is a woman trying to project stereotypes as to what she thinks a man is.
She can never understand those things, because she is trying to see, replicate, and explain them through a female lense.
This ideology is a cancer.
She is a womansplaining maleness in order to assuage her own ego in some twisted need for public and self approval.
Good. Grief.
If I had Elon's money I would solve world hunger instantly.😡
Sent from a device purchased with with a sum of money that could have been used to feed an Ethiopian family for a year, but wasn't, because my generosity is purely hypothetical.
Every dollar Elon Musk has made is traceable. Every product sold, every service rendered, every government contract awarded, every share of stock bought or sold. It’s all on the record.
You, on the other hand, haven’t built a company, invented a product, or created anything people willingly pay for. You’ve spent the last 14 years collecting a $174,000 Senate salary.
Yet somehow you managed to buy a luxury D.C. condo, a $4 million Victorian mansion in Cambridge, and saw your net worth balloon by 150% to $12 million. Everyone knows where Musk’s money came from. The same can’t be said for yours.
I think possibly the best thing about Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire is how angry it makes a bunch of losers who've never built a thing in their lives.
Elon has created thousands of millionaires. The only millionaire you’ve created is yourself. Elon is a wealth creator. You are a looter. While your title is POLITICIAN, your real profession should be called THIEF.
For all these dumbasses claiming if they had Elon's money they'd end world hunger, cause world peace, educate everyone, or whatever, blah blah blah... No you wouldn't. You're full of shit and everyone knows it, because that's not how the world works.
Throwing money at a problem doesn't fix it. The entire history of government demonstrates that. Saying vapid nonsense just makes weak, unimaginative people with a childlike grasp on reality feel better about themselves for caring harder, while accomplishing nothing.
Meanwhile, the guy you hate revolutionized EVs and self driving cars, brought affordable reliable internet to every corner of the Earth, and is making the dream of colonizing space real. And the process of doing all that has given hundreds of thousands of people jobs.
While you posture about how you'd give everybody an imaginary unicorn, he's done stuff that's actually changed the world for the better.
And you don't get it. You can't get it. Because you're just too fucking small.
The CA Legislature tried to strike these words from the state constitution in 2020 (put there by Prop 209 in 1996). The voters smacked them down when 57.23% said NO—despite the YES campaign outspending the NO team by more than 14 to 1. Now they’re trying again—calling it a “clarification” instead of an effort to gut the provision’s application to public education. Don’t believe them. If approved by the voters, this would be a major change. The aim is to pave the way for the recommendations of California’s Task Force on Reparations. The Task Force wants to make college free to African Americans no matter how well off their parents are and to get school districts to fund individual schools based on the race of the students who attend.
