Earlier this afternoon, DPS Lt. Colonel Jason Taylor briefed Gov. @GregAbbott_TX and other state leaders on the department’s statewide response and rescue efforts amid severe flooding impacts across Texas.

Following the briefing, Lt. Colonel Taylor joined the Governor and state leaders at a press conference to urge Texans to be weather aware and closely monitor road conditions as heavy rain is expected to continue over the coming days.

While DPS Troopers are on the ground and in the air protecting Texas—remember to do your part to stay safe:
