Thank you Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton for spending 12,131 minutes with me this year on @Spotify. You are my #1. #2020Wrapped https://t.co/L2gA2mP84l
1/9 “Trump may win or lose, but he will never concede.” The worst case is not that Trump rejects the November election results, but that he uses his power to prevent a decisive outcome against him, @bartongellman reports in our latest cover story. https://t.co/ksnLLam4Pi
We ran the numbers, and the Senate is currently around *6 to 7 points* (!) more Republican than the country as a whole, based on the position of the median states relative to the national average. That means Dems need ~landslide margins to win the Senate. https://t.co/0OejJ56Lia
This is so obviously, blatantly, insultingly a Hatch Act violation that it's starting to seem like the Trump administration is going out of its way to find new ways to violate the law.
Feels like the whole using the White House as a backdrop for a political campaign has been completely normalized already. It’s never been done before for a reason. It’s a violation of the Hatch Act, it’s a misuse of government resources & an abuse of power.
42 million Americans have lost their jobs in the pandemic.
Meanwhile, NASDAQ just hit an all time high.
If that doesn't convince you that the stock market is not a reflection of the economy, I don't know what will.
Right about now would be a great time to weigh emergency measures like:
- Extending Medicare/Medicaid coverage to all
- Eviction freezes
- No-strings UBI programs
- Eliminating work requirements for SNAP &other assistance
- Humanitarian provisions in prisons & decarceral policies
As the coronavirus spreads, we need emergency funding for response agencies, increased hospital capacity, and we must care for our most vulnerable.
Donald Trump must stop spreading lies and fear, and put scientists and health professionals in charge. https://t.co/QEzOcSHmTw

Government funding on healthcare (federal, state & local) = $2.3 trillion a year
We estimate another $773 billion a year is needed in revenue to fully fund #MedicareforAll
The options laid out by Sen Sanders last night will more than cover this amount
We're supposed to believe that public servants who dedicated their lives to their country are all liars but a guy who spent his life dodging the draft, avoiding taxes, bankrupting businesses, cheating on his wives and defrauding investors, students and donors is the real patriot.
I feel embarrassed knowing how easily future historians will mark Trump as a criminal
He's making generations of Americans look like morons in the eyes of history
Our descendants won't distinguish between pro- and anti-Trump, they'll just say, "What were those idiots thinking?"
