Hockey is a good example of how the economy screws the everyday person.

Costs of equipment, ice rental, officials, educational programs, scheduling platforms, tournament fees all keep going up. Which has resulted in an average of 38% increase in registration fees across Canada since 2020. How many have had their incomes rise almost 40% over that same time?

And I still haven’t spoken about travel, accommodations, fundraising, competitive dues, power skating fees, goalie specific items…

@HockeyCanada needs to do something about the outrageous costs of our beloved sport. So many kids who could possibly be our next star are left on the sidelines simply due to affordability.
