As the heat warning for Vancouver has escalated to an Extreme Heat Alert, there will be no school instruction/classes at any #VSB39 schools tomorrow (Monday, June 28, 2021). The District asks parents/caregivers to please keep their children at home.
VSB Indigenous Education department made 215 prayer ties for the children. We will burn the ties in a sacred fire on June 21, 2021. Thank you Dee for leading this and providing space for healing. Our hearts have been lifted ♥️🙏🏾.

Musqueam came together to honour the beautiful children taken from their homes to never return to their families. There is 215 flowers in the heart shape representing the children and the flowers outside the heart represents the children who have not yet been found.
