NYC is viewed as the center of civilization and everyone thinks they’re missing out if they dont live here, i get it. but wouldnt you rather live in a neighboring city and afford to have a living room?
cities are personally my favorite place to live but the phenomenon of people moving specifically to NYC and paying $5k+ per month to live in closets is something my brain can’t compute i just don’t get it

@ZacGignac I get your point, but I think it’s a bit more complicated than that. The U.S. still has strong alliances, even if some of its policies have seriously damaged those relationships. The world is definitely becoming more divided, though.
