Acton won’t show up for a debate & now bans all forms of recording at her campaign events, less than 3 weeks before an election. This is getting so weird that even Ohio press can’t ignore it anymore.
Student confronts Ben Shapiro on Israel's genocidal intent: "How does pelting 5-year-old Hind Rajab with 355 bullets while she was trapped in a burning car…not demonstrate an intent to massacre?"
Shapiro: "That particular situation is under heavy dispute from the IDF…"
"Deranged and dangerous" is exactly what you call a governor who hears a comment about gas prices and tells millions of people the president wants them bombed, instead.
Sure, Jared. I'll bite.
First, before we begin, let's establish that nothing is "free." Also, "Government-funded" is just another way of saying "taxpayer-funded." Now that we've cleared that up...
Can you explain why feeding children is automatically everyone else's responsibility except the parents?
Nobody is arguing that hungry children should go without food. But there's a difference between helping families who genuinely need assistance and making taxpayers responsible for feeding every child, regardless of their family's ability to pay.
And let's stop pretending these programs involve nothing beyond a free lunch. Federal child nutrition funding also supports breakfast programs, after-school snacks, summer meals, food procurement, cafeteria operations, staffing, equipment and administrative expenses.
Compassion for children shouldn't mean abandoning parental responsibility or pretending public programs have no costs.
Maybe before demanding that everyone else foot the bill, we should ask why the responsibility of feeding a child has somehow shifted from the parents to the taxpayer.
Answer that -- and we'll really get somewhere...
Home affordability is an absolute top challenge for young Ohioans & the good news is we know how to fix it: cut red tape that gets in the way of building starter homes. I’ll get it done early in 2027.
He’s confessing about himself. I have a billionaire neighbor who literally just hosted this fraud in his giant mansion for a fundraiser in CA. Notice he doesn’t specify who the billionaires are buying. Cuz that’s him.
They keep doing this in TX…they run some vegan metro weirdo who doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning a statewide election in Texas, and they lie to get California elites all excited about the prospect of flipping TX blue, and these suckers keep sinking money into these doomed campaigns on a wing and a prayer. The get creamed in the election, the consultants get rich, and they just keep falling for it. Beto, Talarico…why can’t they ever try running somebody normal and actually try to win over Texans? (You know why)
diesel trades on a world market, just like corn. farmers don't sell cheaper to Americans, and refiners can't either since they buy crude at global prices. force a lower price and they'll make less diesel. less supply means higher prices, not lower.
The inability of many to understand that the price of oil per barrel doesn’t directly correlate to refining costs is truly astounding. Price per barrel is coming down, but refineries need massive relief before prices can come down in a meaningful way.
It’s funny how people assume a heart attack, especially involving someone in D.C., must be some kind of conspiracy.
When I was at CIA Headquarters during my last posting, I worked in the hallway where EMS would bring people through after heart-related medical emergencies. I was only there for about four months, and I saw countless incidents requiring transport to the hospital.
It’s a different world, a different lifestyle, and a different level of stress than most people ever experience. Not every tragedy has a hidden story behind it. Sometimes terrible things simply happen, and not everything is a conspiracy.
May Lindsey Graham rest in peace... and may the internet continue to act crazy.
This sounds cool. But wait.
400 diapers will last a family with a newborn approximately five weeks.
The program will cost the state approx. $12.4 million this year alone.
That money will be funneled through a company called Baby2Baby, which will then provide their branded diapers to 400 participating in hospitals (California has over 500 hospitals in total.)
Meaning that instead of lowering taxes and letting families keep their own money to buy essentials like diapers, California takes their money, pumps it through a “nonprofit” that has overhead and whose CEO made $240,000 in 2024, to provide a “free” service available only in certain locations, and that you could have bought yourself for much cheaper.
🚨GOA STATEMENT ON MN SHOOTING🚨
We are saddened by the loss of life in Minneapolis, Minnesota earlier today during a federal law-enforcement operation. Because details remain limited and facts are still emerging, it is essential that @theJusticeDept conduct a complete, transparent, and prompt investigation so the public can fully understand what occurred and maintain confidence in the rule of law.
Furthermore, we condemn the untoward comments of @USAttyEssayli. Federal agents are not "highly likely" to be "legally justified" in "shooting" concealed carry licensees who approach while lawfully carrying a firearm. The Second Amendment protects Americans' right to bear arms while protesting—a right the federal government must not infringe upon.
Finally, the Left must stop antagonizing @ICEgov and @CBP agents who are taking criminals off the streets and play a crucial role in protecting communities and upholding the rule of law.
Yeah. Charlie Kirk did say, "I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."
Here's the full quote:
“Yeah, it's a great question. Thank you. So, I'm a big Second Amendment fan but I think most politicians are cowards when it comes to defending why we have a Second Amendment. This is why I would not be a good politician, or maybe I would, I don't know, because I actually speak my mind.
The Second Amendment is not about hunting. I love hunting. The Second Amendment is not even about personal defense. That is important. The Second Amendment is there, God forbid, so that you can defend yourself against a tyrannical government. And if that talk scares you — "wow, that's radical, Charlie, I don't know about that" — well then, you have not really read any of the literature of our Founding Fathers. Number two, you've not read any 20th-century history. You're just living in Narnia. By the way, if you're actually living in Narnia, you would be wiser than wherever you're living, because C.S. Lewis was really smart. So I don't know what alternative universe you're living in. You just don't want to face reality that governments tend to get tyrannical and that if people need an ability to protect themselves and their communities and their families.
Now, we must also be real. We must be honest with the population. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty. Driving comes with a price. 50,000, 50,000, 50,000 people die on the road every year. That's a price. You get rid of driving, you'd have 50,000 less auto fatalities. But we have decided that the benefit of driving — speed, accessibility, mobility, having products, services — is worth the cost of 50,000 people dying on the road. So we need to be very clear that you're not going to get gun deaths to zero. It will not happen. You could significantly reduce them through having more fathers in the home, by having more armed guards in front of schools. We should have a honest and clear reductionist view of gun violence, but we should not have a utopian one.
You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won't have a single gun death. That is nonsense. It's drivel. But I am, I, I — I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational. Nobody talks like this. They live in a complete alternate universe.
So then, how do you reduce? Very simple. People say, oh, Charlie, how do you stop school shootings? I don't know. How did we stop shootings at baseball games? Because we have armed guards outside of baseball games. That's why. How did we stop all the shootings at airports? We have armed guards outside of airports. How do we stop all the shootings at banks? We have armed guards outside of banks. How did we stop all the shootings at gun shows? Notice there's not a lot of mass shootings at gun shows, there's all these guns. Because everyone's armed. If our money and our sporting events and our airplanes have armed guards, why don't our children?”
