Quick intro since I'm back on here:
I voiced video game leads as a teenager (Rival Threads: Last Class Heroes, Battle High 2). Then I walked away from voice acting for 10+ years.
I'm 31 now. I'm giving myself one full year of intensive training, and I'm documenting the whole comeback here.
Let’s do this!
Do NOT let where you started convince you of where you’re going. Even if you grew up with no reason to believe in yourself. Believe anyway. Commit. You will not believe where this will take you.
Hot take: stop spending so much time on one audition. If it takes you so much time and effort to get the “perfect take” It’s probably not the right fit. And you’re also missing out on all the other rules that you would actually be a good fit for.
Voice Acting Update!
After Week 1 in my return to voice acting 🎙️ : I’ve submitted over 20 auditions 🙏🏻 Had my first meeting with a vocal coach. Attended an all day class on dubbing anime. Got shortlisted for a role! And scheduled a meeting to produce a new character demo!
