I noticed this with Musk. He does so much it isn't comprehensible to most people. So they start thinking of him as a natural resource. And they say things like "musk should work on climate change", " he should focus on the environment", "he should work on food insecurity" etc.. As if Musk was a rock to be mined or an oil field.

Only other institutions that get that treatment are "the government" (should take care of homelessness), "big corporations" (should handle inequities), and "America" (should solve all the world's problems).

SpaceX and Tesla are each building 100GW/year of solar production capacity as fast as possible, but natural gas will still be needed to supplement and bootstrap solar for several years.

The limiting factor for nat gas turbine production is casting the blades & vanes. By doing in-house casting at SpaceX, we can accelerate nat gas turbines coming online by up to 18 months, which is a profound game-changer.
