Conservative working in PR who hates the dishonesty every political party is spewing these days and the suckers who fall for low hanging fruit. Don't follow me.
@iey0beeW@DublinMarley@washingtonpost I said nothing about violence or threats. I'm more of a Cicero than an Antony. I believe in the power of the pen.
@iey0beeW@DublinMarley@washingtonpost Unless you vote conservative because they only care about the corporations too.
You're fighting to be Eiffel Towered
@iey0beeW@DublinMarley@washingtonpost I get the cynicism about where taxes go, but the issue isnโt taxesโitโs how theyโre spent. Instead of assuming the worst, we should push for better use of tax dollarsโlike healthcare, housing, and education. If we donโt demand it, weโre letting corporations off the hook.
@iey0beeW@DublinMarley@washingtonpost Huh? Those fallacies donโt apply here. I'm not arguing for pointless work, labour alone determining value, or inherent value. I'm focused on the real-world impact of corporate power and taxes on societyโs well-being
Don't know where that came from ๐
@iey0beeW@DublinMarley@washingtonpost Well do you know what made the 50s so great for the middle class? Taxing the shit out of corporations. Your life could be better. You're fighting against it.
@iey0beeW@DublinMarley@washingtonpost Weโve been forced to rely on corporations to surviveโtake big tech, for example. We use their services daily, from communication to work, but we have no choice but to pay them for access. Meanwhile, they make massive profits, often without contributing fairly back to society.
