The first ever movie which is SHOT FOR SCREENX!!!

As a fan of this format, I went for this with high expectations. And TBH it didn’t disappoint a bit. The properly shot horizontal expanded aspect ratio sequences, looked fantastic and there is a lot of it. The cityscape of NewYork where the webslinger swings through and action sequences looked spectacular in ScreenX.

Another thing I noticed was how much sharper the side projections looked. Usually, they’re heavily blurred with obvious CGI extensions, but here they felt far more natural and immersive. They’re still slightly softer than the main screen - which is intentional to mimic our peripheral vision - but this is easily one of the best implementations of the format so far.

My only gripe was that the presentation looked noticeably dimmer than my morning 3D show at PXL. Not sure if that’s due to some projector calibration issue.

If you’re a ScreenX fan, this is absolutely worth experiencing.
