Dad passed a couple of weeks ago. 92 y/o, USAF retired. Korea and Vietnam wartime deployments. Bronze Star. Those mean little to us. He was ready to go, but we still miss him. Hug your dad, or whatever father figure you have.

@ronrule Not really. The problem is that post WWII, more women remained in the workforce. 2 income families inflated prices for everyone making it a fait accompli that more families would be forced to follow suit. The law of unintended consequences strikes again.

@ZillennialApple How are teachers punished? Don't touch the kids, don't touch the money, don't come to work drunk too often. You have to really try to get fired as a teacher.

@SeinfeldTeacher @jenteach13 Yes. Frankly, districts should be putting every kid like that in a remedial program away from the younger kids and focus on the basics...like a catchup GED to get them back on grade level.

Punting just makes it worse.
