@TeeZeroHero Illlmatic is the gold standard of debut albums. Nas set the bar in which all other debut rap albums/artists are judged & compared to, still even to this day...& I'd argue that all lyrically talented rap artist since Illmatic, have strived to make a debut album that rivals it.
