Without physical games:
- Midnight launches are dead
- Collectors Editions lose half of their value
- You can’t share, trade, or sell your games
- You can’t buy used games
- If there’s a server outage, you’re shit out of luck
- YOU OWN NOTHING
So do Sony realize that when they drop a 1500 dollar PS6 with no physical discs to collect that everyone is just going to get PC and Steam because it’s the superior digital option or are they just really that fucking stupid
> raise console prices
> get rid of physical media
-> you are here <-
> raise game prices to $100 and beyond
> completely remove the ability to share any digital games
> buying new games will become an expensive hobby, but don't worry they'll definitely make a subscription tier for new games that come out
> hardware will become pricier, the cheapest way to play is using cloud gaming services
> offer a subscription that is reasonable at first
> gradually raise subscription prices
You will own nothing and be happy
If we don't act about Sony's outrageous decision to stop physical media in 2028, gaming might be doomed
What’s funny is the narrative has been “LBJ holds teams hostage! He’s a 41 year old that’s far too expensive and just in the way and is not apart of anyone’s future” … But now if he takes a minimum to create a super team then the narrative will switch back to “NEEDED HELP! Ran to the Monstars for another Mickey Mouse Ring, blah blah blah” Soooo if he’s damned if he does or don’t, when will people just admit they’ve made the personal decision to hate LeBron and it has zero to do with any basketball decision he makes 🫣😂
Sony is currently charging $70 for God of War Ragnarok digitally. It is $32 at Wal-Mart. The game is 4 years old.
People will no longer have options after 2028 and will HAVE to go directly to Sony’s digital storefront and pay whatever PlayStation says.
Black ppl do not belong in Boston. You will lose your mind in that city. Sure, it’s a blue state and city BUT, it’s incredibly segregated and you can physically feel the fact that everyone thinks less of you as a black person regardless of what you do. It’s especially palpable
