As for what they talked in detail, that's for them to know. They might have even got the ok from Miyazaki for all we know

Quick update on HoYoverse’s Nodus Fall:

In a statement provided to PC Gamer following Gamescom, HoYoverse confirmed that Nodus Fall will not rely on a traditional gacha model.

Key monetization details:

• Free-to-Play structure

• All characters unlocked strictly through gameplay progression

• Monetization limited entirely to optional cosmetics and skins

A noticeable shift in strategy compared to Genshin Impact and their previous titles.
