This is a deep cut for U2 fans: the three electric guitarists who gathered in Larry's kitchen to form a band, 50 years ago, before the one on the right saw off all competitors with his superior axe skills. Left to right: Ivan McCormick, Dick Evans and The Edge. #U2
@Timo12925772840 I hope so. Last tour here was 2019. The time before that 2010, so if that's anything to go by, then maybe 2028. But I have no information on that, just pure speculation.
@U2start Easter Parade for me, but I'm splitting hairs. Each song stands on its own two feet. It is great to see a vast majority of fans are loving Easter Lily. And we hopefully get to experience some of these songs live - so the fun is just starting.
To the guitarists out there.
Do you think the rhythm guitar that kicks in at 38 secs on Easter Parade is a Rickenbacker?
The sound The Edge gets out of that thing is always mesmerising.
Eg: the outro of Mysterious Ways live gets me everytime. Could listen to that on loop all day.
Shout out to Larry and Adam, whose musicianship is a crucial element to the U2 sound.
Breathtaking work on Easter Lily.
For me, at the peak of their powers on Resurrection Song and Easter Parade.

@U2comZooMods@joshuabporter Joyous and melancholic. Just the way I like it. Easter Parade grabbed me on the 1st listen. In A Life is right up there, but as always, the more listens the more the other tracks will reveal themselves. We really needed these two EPs. And an album to come. It's good to be alive!
Easter Lily is available on Spotify and Apple music. This link will take you to the right place: https://t.co/mR3b3UH4iy
The songs will take you somewhere even better.
NEW MUSIC AGAIN
Good Friday indeed hey?
My very first listen, and Easter Paraden is the first to grab me. No doubt the rest will follow.

A note to U2’s audience from Bono:
"We are in the studio, still working towards a noisy, messy, 'unreasonably colour xerox’ album to play LIVE… which is where U2 lives. We still look to vivid rock n roll as an act of resistance against all this awfulness on our small screens. These are for sure ‘wilderness years’ for so many of us looking at the mayhem out there in the world. It’s a time that has our band digging deeper into our lives to find a wellspring of songs to try to meet the moment…
With Easter Lily we ended up asking very personal questions like: Are our own relationships up to these challenging times? How hard do you fight for friendship? Can our faith survive the mangling of meaning that those algorithms love to reward? Is all religion rubbish and still ripping us apart…? Or are there answers to find in its crevices? Are there ceremonies, rituals, dances that we might be missing in our lives? From the rite of Spring to Easter and its promise of rebirth and renewal… Patti Smith’s album Easter gave me so much hope when it was released in 1978. I wasn’t yet 18. The title is a nod to her.
We will attempt hoopla and fanfare at a later date to remind the rest of the world we exist but in the meantime… this is between you and us."
