Entire country stands with Nation and Armed Forces: Jamiat President Maulana Mahmood Madani

New Delhi May 7, 2025: Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Madani has issued a strong statement of support for the Indian armed forces and the sovereignty of the nation, in response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam and India’s subsequent military response.

Emphasizing that the defense of the nation is an unwavering commitment, Maulana Madani stated: “India is our homeland, and its defense is both our national and constitutional responsibility. Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has always upheld the values of patriotism, peace, and unity. At a time when our borders are under threat, we stand shoulder to shoulder with our brave soldiers."

He further emphasized: “Should Pakistan impose a war, we want to state in an unequivocal terms that the entire country—people of all religions, especially Muslims—will stand with the Indian armed forces."

Maulana Madani also called upon the Indian government to respond decisively to any act of aggression: “We urge the Government of India to deliver a strong and fitting response to every hostile action. The world must know that India, united as one nation, will defend its land at all costs."
Reiterating the organization's commitment to national unity, he said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind would work across the country to foster a spirit of unity, patience, and sacrifice in this challenging time.

जमीयत उलमा-ए-हिंद द्वारा देश और सेना के साथ पूर्ण एकजुटता की घोषणा
नई दिल्ली, 7 मई: जमीयत उलमा-ए-हिंद के अध्यक्ष मौलाना महमूद मदनी ने पहलगाम में हुए आतंकवादी हमले के जवाब में भारत द्वारा की गई सैन्य कार्रवाई पर प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त करते हुए कहा है कि जमीयत उलमा-ए-हिंद देश की संप्रभुता, अखंडता और सुरक्षा के मुद्दे पर किसी भी प्रकार का समझौता नहीं कर सकती। यदि पाकिस्तान की ओर से कोई युद्ध थोपने की कोशिश की जाती है, तो हम स्पष्ट और दो टूक शब्दों में यह ऐलान करते हैं कि पूरा देश, सभी धर्मों के लोग और विशेष रूप से मुसलमान, अपनी सेना के साथ चट्टान की तरह खड़े हैं।
"भारत हमारा वतन है, इसकी रक्षा करना हमारी राष्ट्रीय और संवैधानिक जिम्मेदारी है। जमीयत उलमा-ए-हिंद ने हमेशा देशभक्ति, शांति और एकता का संदेश दिया है और आज जब हमारी सीमाओं पर खतरा मंडरा रहा है, तो हम अपनी सेनाओं के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर खड़े होने की घोषणा करते हैं।"
मौलाना मदनी ने कहा कि हम हर स्तर पर देश में एकता, धैर्य और बलिदान की भावना को बढ़ावा देंगे। हम भारत सरकार से अपील करते हैं कि वह दुश्मन की हर आक्रामक कार्रवाई का मुंहतोड़ जवाब दे। हम दुश्मनों को यह स्पष्ट संदेश देना चाहते हैं कि भारत एक एकजुट राष्ट्र की तरह हर कीमत पर अपने वतन की रक्षा करेगा।

The interim decision of the Supreme Court in the last hearing was an important step to protect Waqf properties, however, until all the government amendments are withdrawn, our struggle will continue. Because all the amendments proposed by the government are controversial and against the interests of Muslims. We hope that the Supreme Court will completely stop this unconstitutional and undemocratic Waqf Amendment Act, 2025 and bring justice!
