@GMAlexColovic In your opinion: (i) persevering because of a lack of experience and a lot of available energy, (ii) going on to practice and learn, (iii) hoping for a mistake or (iv) trying to grind it out like Carlsen?
@GMJanTimman I may well be wrong, but after 1. Kb1!, b4 2. Kb2 Black plays Kb5 and it looks like a draw to me. I think 2. Rxa3 bxa3 3. g4 does the trick, instead.
@askavrukh I started considering 1… Ng4, aiming at a quick Qg5 (guarding d2), Be6 (controlling c4) and O-O-O. If White takes the knight, then after Qg5 Black mounts an attack along the h file and g4 with Rh4 and Rdh8. If not, then Ne3 and Nxg2 looks great. Too optimistic? 😉
