The 2026 Female Individual Moment of the Year goes to Adele Melamud of swimming & diving!

She qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 1-meter and 3-meter dive becoming the first freshman in program history to accomplish that feat as well as one of just five rookies nationally to qualify in both events!

To earn the recognition, athletes must maintain a 3.20
cumulative grade point average and compete in at least 50% of competitions. First-year and transfer students are not eligible.

Freshman Adele Melamud competed in three-meter diving at NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, placing 44th with a score of 241.85.

Melamud was one of five freshman to compete in both the one-meter and three-meter at NCAA Championships.

Adele Melamud made program history by competing at NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, becoming the first diver in UB history to compete at the meet as a freshman.

Melamud placed 51st in the one-meter, being one of six freshman nationally to participate.
