Great news! The dedicated efforts to make the Spring Festival a legal holiday have finally borne fruit. This year, not only California, New York State, and the city of Boston, but also the @UN have officially recognized the Spring Festival (Lunar New Year) as a UN holiday.
This is a significant victory not just for the Asian American community, but also for all Asians and those who support our embrace of diversity and inclusivity. UCA has been committed from the past to the present in the endeavor to make the Spring Festival a legal holiday. Heartfelt thanks to everyone involved.
The recognition by the United Nations General Assembly marks a milestone as it signifies that the rich cultural heritage of the Spring Festival is now celebrated on a global platform, enhancing cultural exchanges and understanding between nations. This truly is a big day for all of us!
