We're delighted that last week, Matt Lillicrap started in his role as CEO. Please pray as he settles into this role: that his eyes would stay fixed on Christ. Pray that his leadership and direction of the fellowship would lead to more students hearing and responding to Jesus.
This week we had a wonderful time with our first-year CU Staff Workers: reflecting on the term so far and enjoying fellowship, teaching on the doctrine of Scripture and training on working with CU leaders.
For the first time in three years, a student from Wolverhampton CU joined UCCF Staff and Relays for first contact evangelism during freshers' week.
Praise God for Chloe's boldness in inviting peers to CU – will you pray that seeking students would come and meet Jesus?
What a week we had at Forum 2024! What rich reminders of God’s salvation, our identity in Him and the purposes He has for our lives. It was clear to see God stirring students' hearts for His mission — on campuses and all across the world. https://t.co/s4qW3lSLIJ
@UCCF#Forum2024 has been so good! We've loved helping students see their lectures, sports matches, pub trips, and parties with God's eyes, recognising that each of these places is full of opportunities to show and share Jesus.
In the evening Matthew Skirton @om_uk helped us think about living out the identity God has given us, to serve His purposes — giving our lives to something that will last forever.
Then we got chatting with our exhibitors about getting involved in God’s global mission!
At Forum Day 3, we were thinking about embracing cross cultural mission as Daniel did in Babylon. We heard stories of students crossing boundaries for Jesus and we were challenged to embrace difference with the international students God has brought to our context 🌏
'What’s your passion for the Word of God? What’s your commitment to the reading of Scripture? The Word is not just for our information but for our transformation.’
Forum 2024 has kicked off with some rich teaching as Femi Adeleye delved into Ezra 7 yesterday: 'The fruit of Ezra’s devotion impacted the whole nation — his devotion, his discipline wasn’t an end in and of itself but a preparation for greater purposes.'
Excited for the first full day of @UCCF Forum!
Come and meet us in the Hub - editor Josh and our colleague Karen would love to chat to you about our internship, publishing, books to resource your CU, and more!
And check out the @10ofthose bookstall…
Forum begins today! 900 students gathering to be inspired for and trained in evangelism 🔥
Pray for Forum as students arrive this afternoon and gather to sing God’s praises and hear from His Word this evening 🙏
